This bout was a back and forth battle that showcased the wrestling skills of Derick Singleton vs the submission and striking skills of Rusty Turley. In the 1st round Singleton used his ground control to win a close round. In the second it was much the same but in the 2 rounds Turley continued to try for submission attempts which were thwarted by the ground control of Derick Singleton. In the 3rd round it was Turley who tried more on the submission end but could not end the fight. The fight went to the judges score cards and you could hear murmuring in the crowd and their satisfaction with what was "Fight of The Night"". The announcement was made and all judges saw the fight the same. 29-28 on all cards in favor of Derick Singleton. Look for both of these very young and talented fighters to make their mark in MMA.

Jeff Wodd made the trio from Aberdeen, South Dakota and Werner from Greeley, Colorado. First round saw both fighters trying leg kicks, front kick, ground, and take downs. When the bell sounded it was very close. Really anyones call to score round 1 in their favor. Round 2 opens the same way but Jeff Wood working out of the clinch then with a knee on the ground and gets up to his feet cinches in a quick standing Guillotine choke and gets the victory at 1:10 of round 2.

Bout 5

Ryan Clemons vs Cameron Thurgood

Universal Fight Alliance Featherweight MMA Tilte

Two very skilled fighters were to face one another to determine the champion in the featherweight class. From the opening bell both fighters tried to take one another down and fans could see what an incredibly even match up this title fight offered to the fans. Both fighters stayed standing for the first 45 seconds trying to clinch and get the take down and they finally went to the ground and both worked beautiful transitions from the top and bottom. When the first round came to an end the judges had a tough call on who was winning the fight. Round two started much the same way the opener did but it was Thurgood who displayed good striking and the fight went to the ground and Ryan Clemons looked to be in control when Thurgood reversed his position and secured his left arm and landed a Kimura at 1:50 of the second round.

Cameron Thurgood crowned Universal Fight Alliance Featherweight champion.

Bout 6

Kevin Tjaden vs Jerrick Jackson

When both fighters entered the cage to begin this welterweight match up one could hear the chatter amonst fans and fighters alike regarding the mucled up physique of Jerrick Jackson in what looked to be a lopsided match up. The bell sounded and it was Jackson that pushed forward landing strikes standing. At that point Tjaden takes his opponent to the ground and momnetarily has a tringle in tight when Jackson stacks him and then lands a hard shot directly to the sternum of Kevin Tjaden resulting in a referee stoppage due to strikes at 1:01 of round 1. Winner Jerrick Jackson in his MMA debut.

Bout 7

Ryan Duncan vs Brandon Johnson

Universal Fight Alliance Welterweight MMA Title

From the start this bout had the partisan crowd and followers of Ryan Duncan cheering with every transition. Both fighters were moving well and avoiding submission attempts but it was the strength and power of Brandon Johnson that would have him slightly ahead on the judges score cards after two rounds. The fans were really into the fight and both fighters began to tire as the pace was rapid. Striking, ground work, transitioning, submission escapes, defined the title bout. When the final round began it seemed Duncan may have been the more fatigued of both fighters. Brandon Johnson started out got the clinch and the action went to the ground and it was there hwere he landed some hard strikes to the body and then to the side of the head of his opponent. In the flurry it appeared that there may have been a strike to the back of the head. During the flurry it appeared that Ryan Duncan was unable to defend himself and the bout was stopped. The promotion had made it cllear in the pre fight rules meeting and at the weigh ins on Friday evening that there would be instant replay in effect to alleviate any controversy in the cage. When the bout was stopped Ryan Duncan was given the opportunity to invoke replay and declined stating that he could not continue. Brandon Johnson wins the bout by referee stoppage due to strikes. It should be noted that Johnson was ahead on all score cards when the action was halted. Upon review of the replay it was determined that there would have been no penalty on the alleged strike to the back of the head as it was at or below Ryan Duncan's  right ear. Also the fighter was turning his head during the flurry of strikes landed making what could be viewed as an infraction an unintentional strike or strikes. Later Duncan was taken to the Miles City medical facility as a precaution, cleared, and released.

Brandon Johnson crowned Universal Fight Alliance Welterweight MMA champion.

Bout 8

Kylan Zumpf vs Dwayne Coe

Universal Fight Alliance Flyweight MMA Title

Kylan Zumpf came into the title fight undefeated at 4-0 and his opponent Dwayne Coe 2-0 himself. The fight started and it was Zumpf who got the take down and looked to be in control when Coe got out of harms way and got back to his feet and clinched up with the shorter Zumpf who was giving up approximately 6 inches in height and about the same on the reach. Kylan Zumpf would continue to take down Dwayne Coe and then work to the side and transition. All in attendance could see the wrestling skills but it was Coe that stayed in the fight avoiding submission and stiking by Kylan Zumpf. The second round began and Zumpf continued where he left off taking Coe to the ground and eventually securing the rear naked choke at :46 of round two. Dwayne Coe put up a game effort especially given the fact that he took the fight on less then a weeks notice but it is the "Little Hurricane" Kylan Zumpf that remains undefeated and now 5-0

Kylan Zumpf crowned Universal Fight Alliance Flyweight MMA champion. Bout 9

MAIN EVENT

Pete Vandervort vs Jack Johnson

Universal Fight Alliance Lightweight Professional MMA Title.

The much talked about match would conclude the evening and be featured as the main event for this first ever title. From the opening bell Jack Johnson pressed the action and landed a head kick and a strike combination standing that partially rocked Vandervort. Johnson then jumped on Pete and went to the ground and it was there Vandervort tried to hang on to the heel of Johnson while those in attendance could hear the corner people for Johnson screaming to let Vandervort up. Johnson would not. He landed several strikes to the downed opponent and it was there that Pete Vandervort verbally tapped out at 1:04 of round 1. Jack Johnson avenges a previous loss to Pete Vandervort to claim the title and adds to his win streak which stands at 3. We congratulate both fighters for what they have meant to the parent promotion, Kick Down MMA and what the new champion will do in the new promotion and beyond.

Jack Johnson crowned Lightweight Professional MMA Champion Of Note at U.F.A.

The new promotion was well received and by all accounts was a success not only from the fans viewpoint but from the fighters as well.
